Wicklow

Wicklow is just one hours drive away from Dublin city centre.

It is in the south east part of Ireland. Known for its beautiful views, mountains and lakes, it is a fantastic place for people who enjoy long walks and hiking.

Wicklow Mountains National Park is the largest national park in Ireland. The park covers part of a mountain range that is spread out over most of county Wicklow. Over one million people a year are estimated to visit. The most visited part of the mountains is the scenic Glendalough Valley, where you will find the ancient monastic settlement of St Kevin. The park also has an amazing number of animals, which include a large number of Deer, Otters and Badgers. You will also find wonderful birdlife and other amazing animals.
Wicklow has a wide range of side street shops and also Bridgewater shopping centre which you will find in Arklow, County Wicklow. The shopping centre has well known stores, such as Oasis, TK Maxx, Next & River Island to name a few. You will find lots of fun things to do in Wicklow such as camping, fishing, golf, or visiting art centres. You will also find lots of warm and friendly pubs, where you can have a nice relaxing drink after a long and enjoyable walk. You can’t help but fall in love with the beauty of Wicklow.
