Galway

Galway is known for its wonderful, colourful atmosphere.

It’s one of the favourite places for art lovers to visit, with Galway’s Arts Festival, which takes place in the summer with musicians, performers and other artists coming from all over the world; its well worth visiting. You may also wish to visit the Baboro International Arts Festival that takes place in October.

Galway is also known for the wonderful Galway Races, which has been popular for many, many years. The city also hosts many boat festivals. The Galway Races are so popular with the locals that they shut most of the city down for most of the week. The Galway races bring in crowds of people from all over the world.
One of Galway’s biggest attractions is its direct access to the seashore. The beaches are just beautiful with so many to choose from. One of the most popular for me will always be Salthill Beach. This beach is located on the shores of Galway Bay, with bars, restaurants & much more for the family to see and do. It will always remain one of my favourites because it always has a wonderful atmosphere. Galway Bay also boasts a school of bottlenose dolphins, which can regularly be seen swimming in the harbour.
I will be going more in depth in my blog about all the amazing attractions and wonderful thing to see and do in Galway.
