Bath

Bath and its beautiful countryside that surrounds it has been described by many as one of England’s most beautiful places to visit.

Bath has always been an architectural icon, cultural trendsetter and fashionable haunt for the cream of the British society for the last 300 years. The city has been named a world heritage site by UNESCO and is blessed with a wealth of architecture, including the glorious Royal Crescent, Roman Baths, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge. This beautiful city also boasts a diverse collection of museums, which are well worth a visit.

Its architecture and Roman ruins are the biggest attraction but let’s not forget the public gardens are also spectacular. The Parade Gardens, the Queens gardens and the Sydney gardens are all beautiful and worth taking a look. Make sure to visit the Royal Victoria Park also, which was opened by Princess Victoria when she was only 11 years old. She was so taken by the park that she honoured it with the word ‘Royal’.
Bath’s streets are filled with spectacular award winning restaurants, curious tearooms and welcoming cosy pubs. You will find all tastes are catered for, with International foods in all price ranges. This picturesque city and its beautiful passageways to explore is easy to get round. Don’t forget to check Milsom Street which was voted ‘Britain’s Best Fashion Street’ by ‘Google Street View Awards’ in 2010. Milsom place is Bath’s main shopping centre with a sophisticated range of shops selling designer fashions, accessories, shoes, home wares, beautiful flowers and delicious chocolate. Make sure to also take a look at Guildhall market were you’ll find 30 stall’s plus great coffee specialists.
