Killarney

Killarney is a vibrant little town, located in County Kerry.

It’s surrounded by outstanding countryside on the North-Eastern shore of Lough Leane, which is part of Killarney National Park. Killarney National Park was the first National Park to be established in Ireland. With its beautiful mountains, lakes & wildlife it’s a must for all to see.

Killarney is packed with things for tourists to do like hiking, kayaking, surfing, rock climbing, horse riding & much more. If you love historic sites then you may wish to visit Ross Castle in Killarney which was built in the 15th century. You should also take a look at Jarveys Stand on Kenmare Place; these are horse-drawn carriages that tourists have been coming to see for many years. Other attractions in the town also include St Mary’s Cathedral, the Elizabethan Revival mansion & the Franciscan Friary which is built around a foundation stone taken from the ruins of Muckross Abbey.
When shopping in Killarney, you will find all different types of stores from well known stores to family run businesses. One of the popular places that people tend to shop is the Killarney Outlet centre. You will come across many galleries, craft shops & wonderful boutiques. You are sure to find the perfect gift to take home.
It’s a great place to let your hair down & have a fantastic night out. It has great nightclubs & late bars, were you will find great entertainment, such as live traditional Irish music. You will also find many wonderful restaurants were you can eat a wonderful meal with great service.
